First it was Number One on Toronto-Lime.com’s Top Ten Soca singles chart, then it got featured in UK sensation Martin Jay’s Top Ten Sizzlers list and now we’re thrilled to announce that yet another renowned online Soca hub has featured the new Patrice Roberts single “Slow Wine” (which was written by our very own Mista Vybe). Check out the new video from IslandMix’s own Julian’s Promos, entitled “[VIVAA] HD BAND 2011 MIAMI INTERVIEWS W. DWAINGEROUS, PATRICE , ZAN & FARMER NAPPY” to see an exclusive interview with Patrice talking about “Slow Wine AND to get a taste of the actual song later on the video!

Hosted by well-known Islandmix.com diva Vivaa, the clip features interviews with several members of Machel Montano’s HD Band, including “Slow Wine” singer Patrice Roberts, who shouts out producer Kasey Phillips and songwriter Mista Vybe, adding “I love this song – it’s close to my heart.”

Just FYI, Patrice’s interview is only one minute and thirty seconds (1:30) into the video, while the song itself (“Slow Wine”) is featured at the eleven minute, five second (11:05) mark.

For those who may not know (and you’re really sleeping on your UK music biz info if you are), CHOICE FM’s Martin Jay is one of the UK’s best known proponents of Soca and Caribbean Music. According to the notes on his Soundcloud page, Martin Jay’s “Top Ten Sizzlers” list is compiled every fortnight, “based purely on tracks that he is feeling at the moment”.

When asked about the song making Martin Jay’s Top Ten list, Mista Vybe said: “It’s an honour to have a UK powerhouse like Martin Jay endorse the song – it says alot about the quality of the work – especially since this only the second week after its release, so I’m very thankful.”

I’m extremely proud of this new banger I wrote for young Soca star (and 2006 Trinidad Road March Queen) Patrice Roberts, who most Soca fans know as part of Machel Montano’s renowned HD Family. It’s been a long time coming but I’m sooo happy this song is finally finished, released and sounding awesome!
