AAAAAAAND… CUE POLITICAL COMMENTARY!

I’m not a political advocate of any sort, so this is just a quick recap of some necessary info. Today (May 24th, 2010) is Election Day in Trinidad And Tobago (my homeland). YES, I voted. NO, I’m not saying for whom lol. YES, I advocate voting (I believe that democracy is a gift we should all treasure and use wisely). And NO, I’m not getting caught up in all the political madness that has been going on for the last few weeks in TnT. The Bottom line is that I exercised my Democratic rights, and now we wait to see who winds up running the country for the next few years. For me personally, this means BACK TO WORK! (Studio with Madman Johann of Madmen Productions tonight.)

If you were part of the Soca scene in Trinidad and Tobago, there’s very little doubt you at some point encountered the beautiful soul that is Katsuko Yanagimoto. Most of us know this tiny Japanese-born treasure better as “Koko” or “Coco Tea”. Japanese lovers of Caribbean culture will know her from her Japanese blog dedicated to all things Caribbean, but if you’re an online enthusiast from the islands, then maybe you were familiar with her from Facebook, OR perhaps you just happened to be one of the countless lucky followers who enjoyed her constantly upbeat “tweets” as @embolada on Twitter.

Looking back at my life, there is one undeniable common denominator that was the catalyst in one way or another for demise of almost all my romances, the irreversible breakdown of countless relationships (family, business, friendship and otherwise), the loss of too many friends to mention over the years and too many personal hardships to chronicle in this one blog. Bottom line: choosing music as a way of life has taken it’s toll – HARD. Which leads me to try to address a pertinent question that one of the few real friends I have left recently challenged me to answer for myself: “Why the f@#% do I keep doing this?”. (more…)

Alot has happened since the triumphant launch of MistaVybeWorld.com. We celebrated a victorious first week online, receiving kudos from supporters and well wishers all around the globe via text messages, phone calls, Facebook, Myspace, etc. We got “bigged up” on several noterworthy blogs within just days of our initial launch. We started preparing the groundbreaking PHASE TWO of our many-tiered plan for World Domination, which we plan to unveil in the coming week.
