I’ve been working on a SLAMMIN’ new Dancehall Soca single called “Ding Ding” (OFFICIAL RELEASE ON WEDNESDAY!), and for this very special song, your boy Mista Vybe managed to bring together some of the most talented people from ALL OVER THE GLOBE for this one special project, which, I have to say, came out AMAZING!

My buddy Jester (AKA “North America’s Most Versatile DJ”) from Toronto, Canada PRODUCED the track. Shout out to Jes for sparking the idea that turned out to be one of the most FUN joints I’ve worked on for a while!

The homie Doc Jones HD added a special bounce to the project as CO-PRODUCER, and laid down some WICKED drums and percussion on the track! Thanks dude! *chest slap*

Shout out to the Torontonian keyboard wizard with the Filipino swag… my homie De La Vega, who blessed us with some ADDITIONAL PROGRAMMING on “Ding Ding”. Dude – now you’re officially Dancehall Soca! Gwan bredrin! LMAO!!!

MIXING and MASTERING was done by my musical “brother from another mother” – Madman Johann of Madmen Productions! Thanks for everything YoYo… WICKED job on the final master!

Special shout out to the homie Dolla Cham and the whole RiddimStream.com crew who have partnered with my team to work this record. Okay, so I got a million emails, Facebook messages, BBMs etc., and apparently enquiring minds want to know what Mista Vybe has been up to, and how the come the blog updates have been so slow lately. After checking with Management, I’ve been given the green light to give some GOOD NEWS and BAD NEWS in response to the aforementioned burning questions…

Let me give you the BAD NEWS first… Sadly, as much as I’m dying to tell the world all the exciting stuff in the works, I’m not at liberty (YET) to divulge all that has been going on behind the scenes right now, but suffice it to say BIG TINGZ A GWAN!!! All the news will break on MistaVybeWorld.com FIRST, and very soon – I promise. In the meantime, however, Management did say I can give you a few HINTS… so ponder on the words “mixtape“, “revolutionary“, “album” and “international“and “It’s NOT Just Soca”. If I say any more than that, Management will have my head lol.

But the GOOD NEWS is… Now that I have a finally have a chance to breathe again (in between working my a** off, that is) there will be more regular MistaVybeWorld.com blog posts than ever! As a matter of fact, several new posts are already up now, so feel free to browse the site and get up to speed.

First things first – EXTRA special shout out to my growing Facebook Army…we’re up to 900 Mista Vybe Facebook Fans and counting!

It’s hard to believe that just a couple weeks ago Fans on that page barely numbered 200! Wow! I can’t explain how grateful and thankful I am to you guys for showing your support on FB. If you haven’t signed up yet, go to the Mista Vybe Fan Page and sign up NOW! And feel free to holla at your boy with a comment over there too.

I say we go for 1000 members – who’s with me? What do you guys think I should do to celebrate reaching a thousand? Leave a comment and let me know!

I also have to thank everyone for all the great feedback on my Reality show “2 D World!”. Since launching Blogisode 2 on Wednesday we got alot of great feedback from all corners (Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, etc.) and we’re happy you’re enjoying sharing my German Carnival experience as much as we enjoyed capturing it on film. Look out for Blogisode 3 – coming soon.

I have to say even MORE thanks to you all for the amazing positive responses I keep getting about my new track “False Pretender” On the Picture Frame Riddim (produced by Madmen Productions and Julian “Julio” Nelson), which was released on Wednesday as well. I’m glad you guys are feeling me already for 2010. Trust me this is ONLY the beginning.

Speaking of Madmen Productions, I hit the studio with my longtime friend Madman Johann (big up the rest of the Madmen Productions team) to work on more new material this week too…

Believe me when I tell you – Johann and I started a MONSTER that night! We wound up working all night until it was almost sunrise – crazy right? Oh – did I mention that I STARTED BACK PRODUCING NOW, beginning in that session with the Madman where I put down some drums for my Carnival 2010 Power Soca tune? You guys will hear what I’m talkin about soon lol! Hmmm… anyone have a good name for my production company? Holla at me with a comment and let me know ;-)

Big shout out to the Ma$tamind Productions family out in New York. I had a chance to vibe musically and catch up on a personal level with producer/musician/artist Shawn Noel (yeah the guy that sings “Rum & Roti” lol) and his manager/wife Natasha from the Ma$tamind camp, which is always a pleasure. I’m happy to announce that after years of talking about working together we finally got the ball rolling this week. You can look out for a couple new collaborations between Ma$tamind Productions and myself… one of which I know is bound to shock a lot of folks (wink at Shawn and Tasha). More on that soon too (evil grin).

What else? Let’s see… I just finished up doing a great interview with D’ Iceman Garnet and my homey DJ Ultimate Sting on TSWRadio.com (audio of that interview is coming to the Media Page soon) where I talked about my new tune and the new blogisde as well as MistaVybeWorld.com. I have to say a heartfelt thanks to the whole TriniSocaWarriors crew out in Toronto – Garnet and Sting always support fully and hold me down. Keep flying the flag guys – I’ll keep putting out great music to help you do your thing!

Well that’s about it for now… still have tons of writing to do for various projects. Tons of music still have to be put out and that takes HARD WORK! So back to the grind for me…

Stay blessed and take my foolish advice – just GO AFTER YOUR DREAMS!!! I know I am, and even though it’s some of the hardest work you can imagine at times, I wouldn’t have any other way. Thanks for the blessings, Lord.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! *deep breath… count to a million… do meditation excercises… think peaceful thoughts*

Yeah – so the Bat-Computer is now in the shop, and since the show must go on nothing stops MistaVybeWorld.com from rolling, I’m actually writing this blog from *gasp! gulp! HIDE FACE IN SHAME* a PC laptop!!!!! A freakin’ DELL for crissakes!!!

STOP LAUGHING!!!

Anyway – moving on and backtracking to the scene of the crime… I was working on the laptop over at my Mom’s house, got up hurriedly when my Mom called out to me to come do something for her quick, and in my rush to hustle over to where she was, kicked the USB cord that connected my laptop to my Blackberry Pearl at the time, in the process making the Bat-Computer topple off the laptop table it was perched on and fall to its untimely death.

I won’t even bother to go into how I had JUST replaced the malfunctioning origjnal harddrive with a brand new one just recently, or how I was musing about getting an upgraded model of the Bat-Computer at this point… that’s what the Archives are for.

All I can really let you know at this point is that I whisked the laptop off to the same folks that fixed it the last time, hoping and praying that the malfunction which kept it from booting up was at least fixable, since I didn’t exactly budget for $2000 – $3000 or more (US dollars) to buy the new Macbook Pro I want so badly.

After much hoping and praying on my part and extra prayers from the rest of the MistaVybeWorld.com Team, I’m happy to say that the problem turned out NOT to be the logic board, but, in fact, the hard drive, which at least is a fixable issue.

Sadly, in this instance “fixable” means shelling out more $$ for ANOTHER brand new hard drive and having it formated and such by the fix-it folks. Fixable, but costly and frustrating. That’s 3 hard drives in like a 2 months folks – NOT cool.

But – at least I can take some solace in the fact that the Bat-Computer will indeed ride again, and in the meantime, I’ll be posting (on this blasted DELL) and trying to retain some semblance of “normalcy” online…

In closing I just want to say a heartfelt thanks to all those who reached out to me on and offline, or who just offered prayer or Positive Energy for the unfortunate laptop situation.

Fear not people – the Bat-Computer lives… kinda.
