INCHES – WUK UP [on the Full Throttle Riddim] »» WRITTEN BY MISTA VYBE!!!

I’ve been waiting (not so patiently) for a while for this song to be released and the time has finally come! Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m happy to introduce you to the latest songwriting project from yours truly Mista Vybe in collaboration with the always on on point Precision Productions team: “Wuk Up” by Bajan Soca star Inches on the Full Throttle Riddim!!!

This project was a great experience all the way through, from receiving the high energy riddim in my inbox to turning out a smash song – written literally overnight! Not to mention the studio sessions to record the final vocals with Inches was real good vibes! (Shout out to Inches, Ruel Ward, Kasey Phillips and Ashwin “Smash” Seegobin – best session in a while lol)

If the name Inches rings a bell for you Soca fans out there, that’s probably because the young sensation has been super-popular for the last year thanks to his hit single “Jiggle It” from CropOver 2011. I’m very happy to be involved with this young upcoming star’s 2012 summer sizzler *grin*.

It took a while for everything to be in order so that this Full Throttle Riddim could be released but FINALLY it’s here and I for one am THRILLED! Less than twenty fours after its release the riddim has already received radio airplay in Trinidad, Barbados and St. Lucia so clearly it’s on the way to big things. *happy dance*

F.Y.I., the Full Throttle Riddim is Precision Productions’ riddim release for Barbados’ CropOver 2012 season which is currently in full swing. In addition to the scorcher I wrote for Inches, there’s also two other great songs on the riddim by Just 10 and Alison Hinds & Mr. Dale (shout out to Wildfire and Sekon Sta on the songwriting). A solid project all the way around.

And for those of you who asked, yes the internationally renowned company behind the popular Full Throttle Energy Drink is indeed involved with the project over in Barbados… more on that soon, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, right now it’s time to “Wuk Up” for CropOver 2k12! As the lyrics say: “Full Throttle, Full Throttle, Full Throttle/Dis one is called di Full Throttle/Tek a sip in ya glass or ya bottle/All ah di gyal start pose and model now…”. You already know it’s gonna be “Full Throttle when we winin’” from CropOver 2K12 straight down to Carnival 2013!

“If yuh cyah wine, resign di wuk/Cause di juks and stabs don’t stop, so… WUK UPPPP!!!”
