I know, I know… it’s been a minute since I checked in and let everyone know what I’ve been up to… Truth is, I’ve been so damn busy I barely have time to blog! But I gotta keep MistaVybeWorld.com up to date, so without further ado, here’s an update about what happened since the last time I posted about being in Toronto!

Hmmm.. where to begin? Well for starters, myself and my bredrin Jester (AKA North America’s Most Versatile DJ) have been grinding hard, working on our upcoming mixtape, which be will the first installment of Jester’s “Soca Certified Smash” series, hosted by YOURS TRULY, and including EXCLUSIVE REMIXES of some of the hottest Soca jams of 2009, recorded by Jester and featuring vocals by MOI (Mista Vybe Inna Yuh Dancehall Again, yo). Special shout out to the amazing DeLaVega for doing a fantastic job mixing his first Soca records lol. Shout out to Cerdic AKA DocJonesHD AKA Johnny Drama also for adding live drums to the mix as well.

Jester and I were so hyped about how GREAT our remixes came out that we HAD to “buss” (release) a couple of them on Jester’s radio show The WorldWide Wake Up Show on Thursday morning.

Big up to DJ Chief who showed me love on the Wake Up Show as well, and shout out to D’ Bandit, who passed through and showed me love that morning also. Oh and a BIG THANK YOU to all my T.O. peeps who were up early enough to hear my interview on the show and get a sneak preview of the HOT REMIXES!!!

What else? Well, if you’ve been following the blog posts, you should already know that I went to see Jay-Z in Concert on my Day Off… which turned out not to be a day OFF after all lol. Big up my Media Relations officer, Sandhya, for supplying me with all the dope footage I used to edit my EXCLUSIVE VIDEOS of performances by Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek and Pharrell (with N.E.R.D.)!

Getting back to it NOT QUITE BEING a day “off”, that same night – after Jay Z – I also attended Soca Sweetness’ big Halloween bash “Scream 6″ and enjoyed a lil Soca vibes there. Big up TriniJungleJuice.com for the pic! (As you can see, Management and I had a great time at the fete! Whaddup MissChynnaBrown! lol)

Big up to Soca Sweetness, Mizz Kayz, DarlingNicky999, Nikki (AKA Onika), Dee, Jester, Cheryl AKA MissChynnaBrown, DocJonesHD, E-Man, Deneica, Saucy Bajan, Queenie, Ms. Paige, Dirty Dez, Slammer Cutter, Brenton B and everyone else that showed me love at “Scream”, even though Management and I were the only people in the dance without a costume lol.

Hmm… what else did I do? Oh YES, can’t leave out my wonderful follow-up meeting with the amazing and talented Miss Niya! Again, if you’ve been keeping track of my blogs then you know that (Niya Melodie Accessories’ men’s line) The Bloke Society is coming together with YOURS TRULY (Mista Vybe, of course) to bring out a special collaborative collection of “mancessories” (that’s Niya’s word – it just means “accessories for men” lol).

Remember the exclusive CUSTOM pieces Niya whipped up for me?

Well “DAT is JOKE” (as we like to say in Trinidad)!

Believe when I say that the new Mista Vybe line from The Bloke Society is going to be MAJOR. The first piece in the line will be out JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS 2009, so fellas (and ladies who love their fellas), get your money up NOW so you can splurge on some of this HOT gear when it comes out! Oh – and now that I’ve got you curious about the new line, I’m also happy to announce that we’re working on a way for YOU GUYS to watch the ENTIRE BEHIND THE SCENES PROCESS of us putting each one of the accessories together!!! Stay tuned to MistaVybeWorld.com (and Niya’s blog) as well for more on that! ;-)

In other news, your boy (that would be ME) is gearing up for Carnival 2010 in Trinidad, in a major way! New tunes in the studio, new image evolving for the New Year (anybody notice the facial hair yet? lol) and – most importantly – a new BODY to match the new attitude! As my Twitter and Facebook family should already know (assuming you’ve been paying attention) – I’ve been hitting the gym to get my body ready for a bumper Carnival season.

Heyyy – don’t give me that funny face! Trust me, if you heard my blazing, HYPE new tune for 2010 that I’m co-producing along with Madmen Productions (the hottest production team in TnT), you’d be working out in anticiaption of Carnival 2010 TOO lol. All I have to say is for 2010, I’m coming out MADDDDDDDD! Nuff said lol.

There’s soooooo much more going on BEHIND THE SCENES since I’ve been here in Toronto that I’m DYING to talk about… but MANAGEMENT will KILL me if I say any more than I already have, so I’m afraid you’ll have to stay locked on to MistaVybeWorld.com so you’ll get the info first when I can finally spill the beans!
